Shared Syllabus Courses

Faculty members collaborate on the preparation of a syllabus.

Each faculty member identifies specific requirements for her or his students in addition to a shared part of the syllabus.

Faculty members may also use a supplement to the syllabus to identify other requirements.

Students enroll in the course being offered at their home university.

The home university collects fees and grants credit for the course.

Enrollment/registration requirements, student evaluation, and grading are according to the system of the home university.

Ideally, students will be given the opportunity to interact with each other through discussion boards or other electronic means.
