Getting Started with

The Blackboard CourseInfo site offers additional resources that we will use in this course.  Features include automatic Email distribution to fellow classmates, online discussion boards, a drop box and pickup for written work and drafts, and a grade check feature.

In order to use Blackboard, you must do two things

  • create a Blackboard account
  • electronically "enroll" in the Blackboard resource for this class

Create a Blackboard Account

  1. Go to http://webclass.gonzaga.edu
  2. Find and click on the "Create Account" button at the top right of the screen
  3. Enter your name and Email address, and select a password for your account that you will be able to remember
  4. Click "Submit"
  5. From the main Blackboard CourseInfo screen, you can click on the link to the resources for this class (PHIL432)
Electronically "Enroll" in the Blackboard Resource for this Class
  1. On the Blackboard index page for this class (PHIL432), find and select the "Enroll" button on the bottom left side
  2. Enter your Blackboard password (the one you selected when creating your Blackboard account)
  3. Make sure you get the confirmation note that you are enrolled in the class
  4. After enrolling, you can in the future go directly to our class Blackboard page (PHIL432) and log in
