Joann and I met at Long Beach State University and will be married thirty-four years this July. We both come from Italian families and have been active in the Catholic Church. Along with our children we have travelled and lived in England, France, and Italy. After living in Claremont, California for fifteen years we gave up the sunshine and relocated to a four-seasons climate here in the Pacific Northwest in 1990 when I took a position at Gonzaga University.

Joann - Joann teaches 2nd grade at St. Charles School in Spokane. Prior to that she taught 1st Grade at St. Mary's School in the Spokane valley for six years, 1st Grade at Our Lady Of the Assumption (OLA) School in Claremont, California for 3 years, and 6th grade at OLA for three years and 6th Grade at St. Maria Goretti School in Long Beach, California for two years. Joann received her M.A. in Elementary Teaching from Gonzaga University. In her spare time Joann loves to read, do crossword puzzles and needlepoint.

Giovanni Matteo - Giovanni is 28 and a Gonzaga University graduate who majored in Art and Broadcast Studies. Sometimes Giovanni also goes by the name of Matthew. Matthew has interests in art, computers, radio and lives in Seattle with his wife Sybile. Matthew loves to travel and speaks many languages! .

Darcy Cristiani - Darcy is 27 and a graduate of the Evergreen State College where he majored in Media Studies. He works in a record store and does freelance writing and photography when he is not playing his guitar.

Gianna Nicolette - Gianna graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in Psychology. Gianna is currently working at Starbucks and working on a teaching credential at Gonzaga University.

Alison-Claire - Alison-Claire is attending Gonzaga University and majoring in Public Relations. She went her first two years to the University of San Francisco.
