Latest announcements: Welcome to Chemistry at Gonzaga University! We will begin labs the second week of the semester. Note that the M/F section meets for the first time on Friday 7 September 2012, and the second lab will be on the following Monday.

First assignment. It is essential to prepare for each lab through the relevant reading and working on pre-lab questions. For the first meeting there is a significant amount of reading to accomplish. Carefully read the lab manual up through page 23, and answer the pre-lab questions on p.21. It is important that you write all notes from reading and reviewing lab procedure, as well as the pre-lab questions and answers in your laboratory notebook. Your laboratory notebook will be the central repository of documention of the work you perform in preparing for each lab, carrying out the experimental operations, and analyzing experimental data, including all calculations and equations used.
