Assignment Schedule, Phil 101, Spring 2005

Course Materials: The text for the course is K. Codell Carter’s A First Course in Logic (2004), ISBN # 0321108825.  Supplemental materials will be available online and/or in class.

Grading: Subject to minor revision, grades for this course will be determined by a combination of objective quizzes on basic concepts and ideas (45-55%); a comprehensive final exam (25-30%); and various other forms of student participation: regular attendance, in-class discussion, writing/extra credit/project participation, et cetera (20-25%). More details will be forthcoming from the instructor.

THIS SYLLABUS WILL BE UPDATED AS WE GO ALONG TO REFLECT OUR PROGRESS.  PLEASE CONSULT IT REGULARLY. DO NOT ASSUME THAT A COPY YOU PRINTED OUT IN JANUARY REMAINS PERFECTLY ACCURATE IN APRIL!
