Reflection Paper Questions: Sartre

Due Date   Question Analysis/Discussion
Monday, 11/5/2001   Explain what "responsibility" means in Sartre.  Even though there are no set values, how does responsibility give a kind of criterion for how we must choose?  You will need to take into account what Sartre says about choice, freedom, and creating humanity, among other things.  In answering this question, it will help to keep in mind what Sartre means when he discusses putting existence before essence (i.e., What does it mean to be an existentialist).
