Registration
Registration fee is $175 which includes 5 meals (breakfast Thursday through lunch Friday) and all program costs.
Meals provided by the Cd’A Resort’s award-winning dining services will include unusual offerings such as the Wild Idaho Continental Breakfast, with huckleberry smoothies and Idaho potato Benedicts among the choices.
Some “pieces of the elephant” to be explored in the program include:
- Elaine Hirsch and Mark Dahl from Lewis and Clark will present on the topic of "Innovative Marketing and Outreach Ideas at a Liberal Arts College Library."
- Paula Foster and Brenda Warrington from Gonzaga will discuss the realities of implementing Primo, Ex Libris’ discovery layer, and do a Primo demo. (This program topic may be expanded to consider additional institutional experiences with discovery layers.)
- Kelly Jenks and Adrian Pauw from Gonzaga will discuss Inland InfoLit – connections between Information Literacy (IL) and the teaching and learning of writing in Higher Education.
- A session on “New Directions in Engaging Students with Archives and Special Collections” will feature Michael Paulus, new library director at Seattle Pacific and former head of archives and special collections at Whitman, and Whitworth archivist Janet Hauck. Michael and Janet are also, respectively, the current president and president-elect of the Northwest Archivists association.
