Individualized Study |

Advanced students who may benefit from individualized study may take a private course of study from a faculty member in a specialized area not otherwise offered during the regular cycle of courses. Individualized studies or directed readings are approved only for academic reasons and are limited to fully accepted graduate students in good standing who have completed at least twelve hours of work toward the degree. |
Students must have the advisor's approval before asking a faculty member to direct an individualized study. After the advisor has approved the study and a faculty member has agreed to direct it, the student applies for the individualized study on a form available from the Registrar and registers for RELI 690. It is the responsibility of the student to demonstrate the relevancy of the proposed study and the ability to complete it on an agreed-upon time line. |
